We experienced our first real ice storm here in Texas. Landen's school was cancelled two days in a row and Phil came home early on Tuesday and took all of Wednesday off. Having lived through dozens of snow storms, I think ice storms are worse. There was about an eigth to a quarter inch of ice coating everything.
We ventured out at noon and took some pictures.
Phil thought it would be fun if the boys went "Texas sledding" down our icey driveway. We don't have a sled so we used a laundry basket.

I loved the sledding in a laundry basket! Very creative. :)
Looks like fun! Too bad they don't make a laundry basket big enough for grown ups!
Haha! I love the laundry basket idea! I want to be a kid again sometimes.
Nice! I bet your boys luved that, Phil included :)
I love it! How fun..the sledding anyways. Ice not so much! I am so excited for you guys and the new baby! Congrats.
Love the sledding!! That looks too cold for me. I've been in St. George for too long!
How fun!! Congratulations on the fun news!! Baby #3. I am so excited for you!!
OH my gosh...we look out our window and if there isn't six inches of snow covering the roads there are six inches of ice covering it. I put Curt in our laundry basket and tied it to the back of my truck yesterday but he didn't like it too much. We can't wait to get somewhere else...maybe even Dallas to enjoy the warmth. Glad to see you guys missed school for the frozen morning dew.
