This was a pretty low key Halloween for us. We started the morning out carving pumpkins. Landen designed his own pumpkin and got all the seeds and guts out himself. I wouldn't let him touch the knife, so I carved it for him. But, I think he designed a very cute pumpkin. Nathan wanted a "scary ghost", so I carved one from a pattern. Nathan was grossed out by the seeds and innards and wouldn't even touch them. So, basically, I did Nate's pumpkin all by myself. But, he thought it turned out very cool, so that's what matters- right?

The mummy pizzas I made for dinner.
(I know- not the most beautiful, but it's the thought that counts.)

Nathan- Buzz Lightyear, Landen- a Vampire, and Carter, our Leopard baby.
(top L- Landen handing out candy, bottom L- me and my friend Maren and our babies (who are only 2 days apart), middle- me and the boys and Tessa (Maren's daughter), R- Nathan "trunk or treating")
After the Trunk or Treat, we headed back home and Phil and Carter stayed back to hand out candy while I took the boys around our neighborhood. They had a great time (of course), especially Landen! Nathan got tired after about a block- his pumpkin was getting too heavy (maybe a sign he has enough candy...) so I ended up carrying it for him. He was even refusing candy, saying "No thanks, I have enough". So, we skipped a few blocks and headed home for an early evening. In fact, I had the boys in bed by 8:30- not bad for Halloween night.
