The Final Move

Hopefully this will be my last moving post for quite a while. We’re a bit burned out of the whole moving thing and are looking forward to getting settled. Thanks again to all my friends in Arizona who helped me the last few weeks. I miss you all already.

Our things were delivered to the house last Thursday, but we didn’t stay the night until Friday (Phil still had the apartment). Since then I’ve been unpacking, organizing and arranging everything.

We’re enjoying exploring Plano and I love being close to all the shopping. We’ve already found a few good parks and besides some rain brought by Hurricane Ike, the weather has been perfect (in the 80s).

We went to our new ward on Sunday and it seems nice. It’s a bit older than we’re used to with a smaller primary. Phil took Nathan to nursery and asked if this was the only one. They looked at him funny and said “yes.” We’re used to having at least two nurseries if not four. The last name of the first person I met was McBride which was also the last name of the first person I met in Maricopa.

Here are some pictures from the move.

The boys loved the big moving truck, especially Nathan. He loved to run up and down the ramp until he fell off of the top of it onto the driveway. Luckily he wasn't hurt, we're still wondering how he came out of that without so much as a scratch on him; falling 3-4 feet head-first onto cement.

Nathan with no hands on the wheel and drinking and driving, LOOK OUT!

We miss you, too, Jenny! I am sure it is nice to be living close to shopping, entertainment, parks, etc. I am glad that we have blogging to keep in touch!
