Landen's Preschool Graduation

This past Wednesday, May 28th, Landen graduated from preschool. His teachers put on a little graduation ceremony. It was so cute, mainly because of the little cap and gown that they wore. They all came down the stairs in a "procession" holding flowers that they gave to the moms and holding a little flag singing the ABC's. Then, they all sat down and sang some of the songs they've been learning in sign language. I was shocked that Landen actually did know them and did the sign language. Then they went around and each said what they liked best about preschool. Landen said, "cookies". Shocking! Then they got their diplomas and we had refreshments- cookies that the kids decorated. It was very cute and we are very proud of Landen! Way to go!

Nathan 2 Year Old Pictures

We went to Kiddie Kandids this past Saturday and got Nathan's 2 year old pictures. They turned out really cute! At least I think so, but I'm a bit prejudice- judge for yourself!

Nathan Turns 2!!!

Nathan's 2nd Birthday was yesturday (May 15th). We decided to do something a little different for his birthday. Rather than a traditional party, we did a "Nathan Day". We woke him up singing Happy Birthday and let him open his presents. Then, later that day, we all went to Makutu's Island to let the boys play for the afternoon. Makutu's is this awesome indoor playground w/ all these fun slides, tubes and climby things. It has tree houses, pirates caves, etc to explore. The boys had a blast. It was like a dream come true for Nathan- being set loose to explore and get into whatever he wanted- free reign! Then we went to In N Out for dinner (a favorite for the whole fam!). Then we headed home for cupcakes and ice cream and a little family party. Overall, I think it was the perfect kind of day for Nathan. I hope he had fun and knows how much we love him!

Landen Stories

Landen is such a funny kid and always provides us with great stories...

Phil and Landen went to the grocery store to pick up some stuff and they were waiting in line to check out when this lady tapped Phil on the shoulder and said, "Um, your son just took a bite of the french bread." Sure enough, Landen just decided to take a bite out of one of the loafs of french bread sitting by the check out. Apparently he was hungry. Needless to say, Phil came home with a loaf of french bread that wasn't on the list.

On Mother's Day, Phil let me sleep in (Awesome!) and brought me breakfast in bed (Isn't he a good husband!). He brought it in on a little tray and everything. Well, Landen thought that was pretty cool. So, last night, before he went to bed, he informed me that he was going to "sleep in" and that he wanted me to make him scrambled eggs with orange juice and bring it to him in bed. So, I just kind of ignored it- I figured he'd forget about it in the morning. Well, he came into our room at 6:30 (really sleeping in...) to tell me he had to go to the bathroom, but that he was going to go back to bed to wait for his breakfast. No, he did not forget about it and he was quite impatient for me to get moving on his breakfast in bed. So, I thought it'd be kind of fun for him, but I hope he doesn't think this is how he will be served his breakfast from not on!

Utah Weekend

We went up to Utah this past weekend, because Phil's good friend from Ricks was having his daughter they adopted sealed to them in the Provo Temple. It was such a special sealing. I was so glad we were able to attend. There was such a stong spirit in the temple and it was such a wonderful experience. While we were up there, we were able to see both our families, so that was nice. We went over to my sister Leah's house on Friday night. Everyone from my family was there. Leah was nice enough to host us and to provide a great meal. We also went over to a park nearby and fed some ducks. The boys enjoyed that. Here are some of the pics:

I think Nathan was in the middle of a cough when we got this taken.

Nathan loved this chair of Addy's!

On Saturday evening, we decided to take the boys for a ride on Trax to do some shopping at the Gateway and also to go to Temple Square. The boys loved riding the "choo choo"- especially Nathan! It was one of the highlights of the trip! Here are some of the pictures from Temple Square:

Nathan wasn't being too cooperative on smiling- I think he's pouting in this picture.

Cute brothers! (aren't the tuplips gorgeous!)
