The Greatest Show on Earth

On Saturday we took the boys to the Circus. Phil was able to get tickets for us through work. It was great- we got to sit in the US Airways suite which had the nice perk of food- hot dogs, chips and drinks (much better than having to pay $10 for a hot dog!) The boys loved the show- especially Landen. Nathan was a little bit scared at first with how loud it was and all the pyrotechnics. Plus, I think the elephants scared Nathan for some reason, but eventually he warmed up to it and really liked it. Overall, it was a really fun family outing!

Beating the Heat!

Well, it's officially summer here in the Valley of the Sun (and has been for a good month). This past week has been over 110 every day, so we've been trying to "beat the heat" by swimming a lot. We've been cooling off in the pool about three times a week for the past month. Landen and Nathan are both in swimming lessons right now. Landen is really getting to be a good little swimmer (and extremely tan). Nathan and I are in a "mom and tot" class and it's been fun for us. Here's some pictures I took of the boys swimming today.

Hey Daddy!

Happy Father's Day! Mommy helped us make a special picture show for you for Father's day. We hope you like it. You are the best daddy ever! We love you so much! Thanks for always playing with us, reading books, wrestling with us, taking us on bike rides and all the other fun stuff you do for us. We are the luckiest boys around to have you for our dad. Hope you have a good day. We'll try our hardest to be good and obey you today and maybe if you're lucky we'll even take naps so you can have one too!

D- Backs Game

This past weekend, Phil was able to get tickets to the Diamondbacks Game. We decided to get a sitter for the boys and invited some friends from our ward to go with us. We all went out to dinner first, at Alice Cooper'stown Restaurant. It was way yummy food and a fun restuarant with an interesting crowd (Think Alice Cooper meets sports fans). Then, we headed over to Chase Field for the game. The game was great- even though the D-backs lost and we all had a great time!

Landen's Soccer Party

This past Wednesday, May 28th, Landen had his end of season soccer party. We had it at one of his teammates houses. We had pizza and lots of other yummy treats. They got their team pictures and the coach handed out trophies. Everyone had a great time. Landen really loved playing soccer this past spring and he did a great job! Way to go!
